World carbon emissions, by country 2009

New numbers from the US Energy Information Administration show that China has overtaken the US as the world's no.1 carbon emitter.

This graph (via the Guardian ), shows that China has overtaken the US as the world's number 1 carbon emitter.

One can't help but wonder how much of China's carbon footprint is caused by manufacture of goods for Western consumers...
