Asparagus is one of my favourite veggies. However, it's also a bit of a carbon-guilty pleasure as it's usually flown in from Chile or Peru unless it's in season in Europe.We planted some young plants last year, and - joy - the spears this year are looking great! We're meant to wait until next year before actually cropping them, but it's pretty tempting...
