"This award is recognition of Swindon Borough Council's commitment to sustainable development, of which the Wichelstowe project is a key part," said Peter Greenhalgh, Swindon borough council's cabinet minister for planning, highways and transport.

He added that the group is "very pleased" to have won the additional low carbon support and claimed the region will use their experience with Regen SW to "set the template for all future development in Swindon".

Discuss   UK AWARE sponsors do not necessarily need to be from a 'green' industry. They do, however, need to have a genuine concern for environmental matters and conduct business in an appropriate manner.
