West Sussex residents 'keen to reduce emissions'

06 February 2008

West Sussex residents 'keen to reduce emissions' Homeowners and operators of public facilities in West Sussex are increasingly turning to energy efficient ground-source heat pumps to lower their carbon emissions, it has emerged.

The Bognor Regis Observer has reported that there is a high uptake in the region for renewable energy products, with resident demand for low-carbon products increasing by around 100 per cent each year, according to Surrey-based ISO Energy.

The firm has partnered with Plumbing Trade Supplies (PTS) in West Sussex to provide the pumps in large homes, schools and offices.

"Our success in providing renewable energy products is based on the high uptake in the West Sussex area," said Roland Gibson, renewable energy contracts co-ordinator for PTS.

"This demand shows that the region is ahead in this new technology and as such we are looking forward to another successful year," he added.

The Energy Saving Trust has reported that people who wish to further reduce their carbon emissions may be interested in purchasing a green electricity tariff or another form of renewable energy generation to power their ground-source heat pump.ADNFCR-1235-ID-18453426-ADNFCR
