Indian electric car company Reva, responsible for the G-Wiz, has unveiled its latest model which can travel 75 miles on one charge. The battery-powered REVA L-ion reaches speeds of up to 50 miles an hour and is expected to be particularly popular with those living in the city. As part of the launch, Reva is also introducing a fast charge station which allows motorists to charge up their new vehicles by 90 per cent in just 60 minutes. This latest model follows the popularity of the REVAi which was released in January 2008."With the REVAi and REVA L-ion, we are now able to offer a choice of performance options to suit commuter needs and preferences," Chetan Maini, Reva's deputy chairman and chief technology officer said.He added that fast charge stations "really opens up the market to reach new customers and increase the availability of electric vehicles".
