Closed Loop Recycling welcomed

Closed Loop Recycling, a firm dealing with food grade recycling has been welcomed by Recoup, a plastics waste management company.
According to Stuart Foster, the firm's senior project manager, the introduction of the technology in the UK is a "big win for plastic recycling".
The system works by recycling plastics into useful food packaging materials, ensuring that waste is diverted from landfill.
"Developing food grade recycling in the UK is a necessary and welcome move for plastic bottle recycling," Mr Foster said.
He added that the scheme will be particularly well-received since many firms are looking to use more recycled packaging.
"To meet this demand and supply the recycled material from UK reprocessors, through food grade facilities like Closed Loop London, will be a big win for UK plastic recycling."
According to WRAP, the UK uses more than five million tonnes of plastic every year.
