Prince Charles has been setting an eco-friendly example as a new report has shown that he is trying to conserve energy in his households, according to H&V News.Energy efficient light bulbs, water heaters and boilers are among the features which the prince is using to helping to conserve energy in his home, it was revealed in the Sustainability Account for the Household of The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall.There has been a 39.7 percent fall in the amount of carbon dioxide emissions from the prince's house hold in the last year. Between 2007 and 2008, the home emitted around 656 tonnes of carbon emissions compared with over 900 tonnes during the previous 12 months.The report stated that: "Further initiatives are being considered, including the use of further alternative energy sources."Meanwhile, the Herald reported that together, the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall travelled a total of 37,000 miles on official business trips during the past year.
