I recently read an artcile on a group of american companies plans to develop a metal roof covering that generates electricty.In principal the idea makes sense, lets turn all our roofs into a means of generating electrity.But what is the cost environmentally (producing the materials) and payback overtime? Can these pay for themselves?Is it viable for these to be grid connected?
