To cut a long story very short, from about 1988 to 2006, despite it all, I pulled-together a prototype wind Turbo-Alternator Device - TAD ? - which appears from rough tests since '06 to be a great success. That is to say, it can readily return around 5 % p.a. of its cost in many sites, and undoubtedly much more from exceptional ones.
